rain

After boasting about the great weather we've been having we've now had 3 solid days and about 10cm of rain so rivers and our pond are full, and I'm feeling a bit sheepish, and damp. Jen. It brightened up for a couple of hours for the Llanwrtyd Show yesterday and although we missed the It's a Knockout we did see some fantastic sheepdog trials and the excellent vegetable and cake competitions. Possible entries next year .... can always manage a misshapen carrot!! Dangerous Dave at the Nueadd Arms was a good end to the day.

Avril, Oliver and Matthew visited last week giving us another good excuse for a pub lunch and some fire building. Cooking sausages on the embers was our just reward. The cup cakes and additions to our wine cellar were much appreciated, and soon consumed.

We have a new petrol lawnmower - great excitment for Jen (it's the nearest thing to a motorbike) - but rain has stopped play. There's some blue sky emerging so maybe later ....
