Snow & woodpeckers

After four days without snow and ice it has returned. It's unlikely we'll get any more post before Christmas. Fortunately we managed to get the car out for the first time in two weeks and should have enough supplies to see us through Christmas.

The scarcity of food has seen the woodpecker become bolder and is now a regular visitor to the feeders - more excitement and frustration for the cat.

The walk into town is still very much possible and with a full moon can be navigated without a torch -when clear, the stars are fantastic.
