We took a few days off for a trip to see family and friends in Norfolk and were rewarded by blazing hot sun. It certainly makes a change to see wide views and big skies, and the sea. We started in the flat lands with Mark, Sue and Merry (the cat), enjoying sandy heath lands and a bit of culture at Castle Acre and Priory.
Next a flying visit to Wendy, Dave and family in Fakenham; an old school friend, we hadn't seen Wendy for about 20 years, she looked the same...
Then on to the coast and ice creams with Ann, and some shelter from the sun in the lovely woods at Felbrigg and more bluebells at Blickling.
Jen and Ann took a very quick dip in the North Sea at Cromer, but it's still a bit chilly for Paul (may be always).
Our final visit was to see Jez another old school friend, for a couple of beers and shooting some hoops with Rosie (8) who showed us how it should be done.
On our way home we stopped for some watery banter with Rog and Michelle, some great food and more chat with Sam and Shashi, and a spicy shopping trip in Leicester.
