With some sunshine came a power tool session, to make paths and log piles, and the start of a bog garden. It's good timing for the bog and filling the pond, but not for campers, as the bank holiday soggy weather started last night. Today is definitely a day for baking, snacking and watching films.
Swallows have returned to nest in our barn and the neighbouring farmhouse roof, and we think there are Great Tits nesting in one of our boxes. Two pairs of Siskins have visited us and are hopefully nesting nearby.
