This weekend was the Real Ale Wobble, 3 pubs, dozens of beers, great bands and 700+ crazy mountain bikers getting muddy. It was fun to marshal, but maybe we'll enter next year. Anyone else fancy 22 miles of mud?
It's hard to believe that it's been a month since we've added anything to our blog, but the time has just whizzed by. We had a week visiting family and friends in Hertfordshire and Essex, making the most of some wonderful sunshine after some really wet weather at home. We came back with a car full of plants again, many thanks to Pauline for digging up more of her garden for us and to Sally for the seedlings. Jen had apple envy in Sally and Trevor's garden, so many brewing possibilities. Luckily we have lots of wild pears, so once the chutney is made there'll be some pear wine or perry on the go.

The week after was half term so we had a house full of family and old school friends and their kids and their friend Ashley, lots of nattering. Seven of us took a trip up to Llyn Brianne Reservoir to see the overspill in flood; sadly Deb, Jez, Jenny and Rosie missed that trip, next time ....

Then suddenly it was November with warnings of early snow (that still haven't come to anything). So, we took a trip to see friends in Notts and the Wirral.
Then it was back home for some wood chopping and warm fires. Much appreciated by all.
