Happy New Year

The Biggs' party and Samba band march into town got us in the mood for New Years Eve.

 
 
Jen joined the torch-lit walk led by the horse's head before heading into the Neuadd Arms for a few shandys and entertainment from Dangerous Dave and band, and the cast of the Wizard of Oz!!.

We woke to blue sky on Monday so took our chances and went over to the Elan Valley and the spectacular overspill at Claerwen Reservoir. Worth it for the views en route.

A change in the weather at Caban Coch dam

Just as we thought a hilly walk was in the offing, the heavens opened and the sleety rain sent us to a cosy tea shop in Rhayader. It cleared up on our way home so we explored tracks around Llanwrthwl; lovely views and not too boggy.
