Winter has turned up

After a clear and oh so starry night we had two cold and frosty days, Winter is definitely on its way.
Paul and Sam took a misty ride up to Llyn Brianne.
For the first time this year there was ice on the ducks' bath water. At last we have found a plug to fit the ducks' posh new Belfast bath - soon to be in use.

Mainly clear skies last weekend meant for a sunny Real Ale Ramble, good thing as several of the 25 milers were finishing in the dark - too much time spent at beer stops in the hills (as served by Jen ad June!). The Wobble, the previous weekend was dry too, unheard of! Our usual group made the most of a fine days mountain biking.

Before serving the beer, we made sure it was all drinkable and that we could advise on taste, etc....
Pre-biking breakfast and a disinterested cat!

The weekend before was a bit of a strange one, after some mushroom foraging we were asked to be extras in a film being made on the edge of town, on the edge of many things it seems...
photos show we didn't imagine it (they are not magic mushrooms)....we're looking forward to seeing the finished piece.
Twins, Jenny and Liz, swapped tap dancing in a horse costume for more exotic animals

Half term saw the Ron Skilton Half Marathon, Kirsten helped with the water stop on Spion Kop while Mark rode a Red Kite muddy downhill course, then Mel James and Edward came to stay. We made them walk the hills too, with w promise of chips in the pub at the end.
Mark warming his knees up!
