In the few days of dry weather between the snow and recent endless drizzle, we got back outside and into hacking back the jungle that is our garden. Much of the bamboo is gone, although we may need to borrow a pig to dig up the roots, and the Dogwood is down to a managable shrub. But, the pile of stuff to burn is growing and growing, and it could be a while until we get a dry enough day for a bonfire.

Paul's got the chainsaw working so the big stuff is coming down now...
Also, good news that a couple of weeks on, Morty seems to have recovered from his operation (he was a bit confused at first about his lack of plums!) and is back to investigating, demanding food and affection and bird-worrying.
