Old friends

It's been another busy couple of weeks, lots of visitors and cats fighting to eat each others food. We're looking forward to getting rid of the litter tray too!
We had another Pettitt invasion in the middle of August; Tim, Chinty, Jane and Christine came to stay. It had been a few years, so was really good to catch up. And we got some sunshine.

Jane and Tim making bows and arrows (the arrows were a bigger success)

We had a full house for the Bank Holiday but as it was bucketing down we stayed in for a long large late breakfast and missed the bog snorkeling. As a caver we though Andy might be keen to get into a dark damp hole, but it seemed the Sunday papers and another cup of tea were just too tempting for him and Sue. Just have to save ourselves for next years Alternative Games; Paul's still hoping for bog volleyball!
Nick and Carrie came via Dunkertons and we enjoyed a flagon of cider that inspired us to get on with making our own brew.

First batch of perry bottled yesterday.
