What have we been doing for the last few weeks..?
It's been a while since we last added to the blog and I'm having to think as to what we've been up to to keep us so busy!!!
Paul got the chainsaw out and took down a lot of old willow. Several fires and lots of bramble clearing later and we seem to have yet more space to sort out! It's all a bit of a bog as we've had rain most days for the last fortnight, no floods though.
Not a very exciting photo I know, but we're impressed with the results of pour labour.
What else? - a visit to the Llandovery Sheep Festival with Tina and Brian, lots of good sheep-related (and other) crafts, a bit of folky music and local cider. And of course, sheep dog trials.
- I've started a willow course (Jen) so the oven is currently more used for drying willow frames than cooking. Will hopefully have a basket or two by Christmas. And am back to Welsh class after passing my beginners exam in the summer. Ardderhog.
- a group of French visitors camped for a couple of days, they were great fun and made the most of a tour of the Neuadd micro-brewery. They recovered from the weather with a cooked breakfast in front of our woodburner.
- a quick drive out to Upper Chapel to see a stage of the Tour of Britain, there seemed to be more motorbikes than cyclists, who went by in a flash (the cyclists). I think we saw Bradley Wiggins.
