Wellies on

Yesterday was dry, so it was time to start sorting out the garden. As it's so wet Jen went the whole hog and stood in the pond! A bit of grass and weed clearance before the frogs and newts turn up, resulting in rubber gloves full of pond water, but dry feet (only just).

We started the new year with a visit from Sue and Barney and a trip to the Red Kite Centre near Rhayader; fantastic to see so many birds at one time, but cold for sitting in a hide. We were glad to end the afternoon in the Swan tearooms for a cuppa and cake. We had our first B&B booking on Saturday, a good start to the year and hopefully many more to come.
