It's nearly two months since we updated our blog, and scarier still, it's nearly Christmas.

We missed the worst of Thursday's storm but had to repair our greenhouse roof today as a bit had been torn off. Luckily the weather has stayed mild if a bit drizzly. Went to our first Christmas party last night, a great start to December's run of celebrations. Thanks to Tina and Brian for an excellent night, helped by Brian's dangerous mulled wine, and to all the cooks.

This week was markets; Llanwrtyd Farmers Market at the end of Nov and then the Winter Fayre in Builth. Hard work but lots of fun.

Before that was the beer festival with Real Ale Wobble and Ramble at each end of the week. We had a house full of mountain bikers for the Wobble, who thankfully didn't get snowed in on their latest visit to Llanwrtyd. Here we are serving beer at the Wobble, hidden behind hundreds of thirsty bikers.

Paul's been DIY-ing in the kitchen and Jen's been basket making again
Can you tell what it is?

Jen spent Halloween in Towcester with Mel and the boys while Paul was quickly provided with some sweets by the parents of the kids staying next door, before they came round to trick-or-treat!!
